ANALYST REPORT

ANALYST REPORT:
Each student will need to submit an Analyst/Research Report on a limited list of publicly traded
companies that will be provided to Students towards the beginning of the semester.(choose one company in
the company list attached in doc)
Students will need to submit an electronic copy of their Excel Worksheet as part of the Assignment.
(assumptions
Each report must include a thorough analysis and discussion of the following topics that will be
covered during the course, be well organized and easy to follow.
a. Business Summary;
b. Industry Analysis;
c. Valuation;
d. Historical and Pro forma tables/Forecasts;
e. Sensitivity Analysis;
f. Risks; and,
g. Summary and Investment Recommendation
Sample reports will be made available and discussed throughout the semester. One or more classes
will be dedicated to discussions of Research Reports so attendance is imperative
Please address the following as instructor emphasized in class
1. Income statement( 3 years forecast)
2.Import historical data(revenue, gross margin,expenses etc) Transfer them into percentage!!
Forecast the revenue( porter’s 5 forces and make assumption)
Selling and distribution; Admin expense; Depreciation(as % of sale); EBIT; Interest income and expense;
tax(historical allowable deductions and forecast
3. Balance sheet
Assets (depreciation on ppe); capital reinvestment; working capital; inventory(inventory turnover); A/R(
