Applied linguistics and Bilingual Education Programs. Review of Bilingual education Program as education system in countries other than the United States
But here are three things I would like you to keep in mind as you address this:
1. “review” is a process, not the purpose or your argument. What are you trying to accomplish by “reviewing BLE programs…” or “uncovering this and that”? Who are you trying to inform? convince? THAT is the purpose of your paper.
2. Which country (or possibly region?) are you focusing on? You cannot lump all “countries other than US” together. Educational policies and situations vary so much from one country to another than you cannot make useful suggestions unless you focus on a specific context. So you have to pick a specific country or at least a region that shares similar instructional constraints.
3. ELT professionals who would most benefit from this are those in a country where the idea of BLE is still unknown or new. Therefore, you cannot base your argument on the review of BLE studies from that country. You summarize what we know about BLE based on the literature from US and other countries that use BLE, and then translate it to the new context so that professionals in that context can take the suggestions and run with it.
