The primary themes we have discussed
are related to consent, rights, harm, and how/when these concepts interfere or conflict
with each other. For this assignment you should write a response that incorporates how
the various readings discuss these three ideas. How do each of these papers discuss
these concepts? How do they differ? What weight do the authors place on these ideas?
How important or unimportant are they? Which take precedence over the others? This should be 4-6 pages in length – double spaced, roughly 1,200-2,000
words
• You should incorporate at least 5 of the 8 readings since April.
• You should discuss the concepts of harm, consent, AND rights—as they are
discussed in the readings, you do not need to go to outside sources, only
those from the course.
• While some of the readings only discuss one or two of the three, you should
discuss how the readings fit together.
• Be sure to discuss how they are related and how they relate to the readings.
• Cite the readings. You do not need to cite any outside sources but IF YOU
DO YOU MUST CITE THAT INFORMATION.
• This should reflect your understanding of the readings and the importance of
these concepts.
