Assignment Paper

Analytical Response 4 is your assessment of your own portfolio for this course. Write a letter in basic Business Letter format explaining what you learned in the course and how you feel you have grown as a writer.

Additionally, you may revise a previous essay from this class and explain why you chose to re-write it. Use your letter to detail what changes you have made and explain what led you to make those edits. Include the revised essay in the same document file as the letter.
It sometimes helps to check out the instructor’s comments for each assignment and work from those. A reminder of how to find those comments is here.

You may revise as many essays as you like, just be sure to explain the changes to each in your letter and include them all in one file.
Your letter must be 500-750 words (not counting any revised essays) and adhere MLA format. The letter serves as the cover letter, and any essays should follow, in the order in which you addressed them in your letter. Use the Shasta College address as my address; the Shasta College mailing address is on the bottom of the website, as indicated in the link above to the Purdue OWL with instructions (such a helpful site!).

Don’t forget: you may work with a tutor on any part of the rewriting process, from the drafting through to the submission, and please use the buttons on the left side of your screen (the course menu) to connect to online tutoring services.

Students will be able to accomplish the following upon successful completion of the course:

Critically read, analyze, and evaluate a variety of non-fiction texts for their rhetorical and technical merit, with consideration of the principle of unity, coherence, tone, persona, purpose, methods, and the effects on a target audience.
Write clear, well-developed academic essays using a variety of rhetorical strategies, which may include textual analysis, comparison/contrast, causal analysis, and argument.
Write sentences of varying structure in order to emphasize meaning, relationship, and the importance of ideas.
Organize paragraphs into a logical sequence, developing the central idea of the essay to a logical conclusion.
Find, analyze, interpret, and evaluate outside sources, including print and electronic media.
Integrate the ideas of others through paraphrase, summary, and quotation into papers that express the writer’s own voice, position, or analysis.
Use current MLA guidelines to document sources.
Revise, proofread, and edit essays for public presentation so they exhibit no gross errors in English grammar, usage, or punctuation.
PLEASE WRITE BUISNESS LETTER AND CORRECT/rewrite essay
