You will understand cellular respiration on a level that will enable you to explain it to someone else. You will explain in simple to understand terms and use a method of explanation of your choosing (see below). No matter how you decide to present your information, your project MUST present the science (biochemistry) behind the process of cellular respiration (i.e. show where the molecules go, which is used in which step, etc.)
You can choose how to present this:
PowerPoint- absolutely no copy/pasting of images…the images you use must be created by YOU!
Write a children’s book
Write a coloring book
Write a story
Create “recipes” for the process
Task:
Show the steps of cellular respiration with an easy to understand explanation of what is happening.
Steps include: Glycolysis, Transition Step, Krebs Cycle, and Electron Transport Chain.
Please limit the information in your steps to those taught in the course lecture (i.e. do not just go to Google or another source and copy information. Most likely it will contain MORE detail than you need for this project!
Important things to remember:
The whole point of the assignment is to practice the process of cellular respiration! There are many steps. If you can explain it, you understand it!
You may NOT merely copy/paste information into a PowerPoint. If your information is copy/pasted it will automatically score 60/100. The point of this project is to have you interact with and practice this process.
Also note that part of your grade involves: effort, creativity, and accuracy (i.e. does it really show the process of cellular respiration?) It is worth 100 points.
