Question:
Compare and contrast the ways Freud, Simmel, Weber, and Marx treat the themes of conflict and domination, demonstrating how each theorist’s particular method shapes his treatment of these themes. Consult the appendix for the statement of weber’s method of verstehen and Freud’s method of hermeneutics which you will need to contrast with Marx’s method of dialectical materialism and Simmel’s method articulated in “ the problem of sociology”
