encompasses mindset and skills, both of which can be developed through an understanding
of key concepts, practice and application’.
HEA10004 Assessment 3: Digital Health Essay 3 of 8
Your ability to identify, analyse, reflect, evaluate and reason on the good and bad of different
aspects of digital health – critically assess technology for health is an important skill. It will help to
ensure that the future of digital health is evidence-based, no matter what you choose to study and
career to pursue.
You will need to cite and reference all sources throughout your essay; demonstrating that you were
informed by the literature and you collected relevant evidence to support (or, disprove) your
experiences. Plagiarism, cut and paste, and paraphrasing is not be tolerated. Nor, will re-using any
work you have submitted for previous assignments (As a general rule, approximately 1 reference per
100 words is expected).
This assessment is completed in two parts.
• Peer Review Feedback (ungraded)- In Week 10 tutorial
We are strong advocates for providing feedback ‘as-you-go’ opportunities for students to improve
their understanding and skills. We are also a strong advocate for giving students the opportunity to
review and feedback each other’s work. This is a skill our students will take with them into their
future careers and work practices. In this assignment we have combined both opportunities. As
outlined above, in your Week 10 tutorial, you will be asked to read, discuss and provide feedback on
the work of at least one peer and you will receive similar feedback.
For the week 10 tutorial, you should bring along an outline plan for your essay, the ‘story’ that you
would like to tell about your experiences using the particular technology for health/wellness activity,
or healthcare. Your outline should short, no more than 100-150 words in length, preferably in the
form of dot points. You should cover what you intend to expand on in your final submission. Aim for
no more than 5-6 key dot points. For example
o The Health/Wellbeing Context ….
o My Goal is …..
o My Chosen Digital Health Technology is….
o How I Engaged with it is/was….
o Digital Trust
…..
…..
…..
……
• You will share your dot points with a peer in your Week 10 tutorial, discuss each other’s ideas
and provide each other with useful feedback to ultimately inform/improve your final essay.
