Thesis:

People who falsely accuse others of sexual assault should be punished severely because they ruin others’ lives.

Reasons:
1. The people who gets accused of rape either lose their job or get expelled from school.
2. Their reputation gets damaged, and they can’t get their jobs back even after they are proven innocent.
3. They spend years in jail for no reason.

Opposing View:

Some people oppose severe punishments for false rape accusations because they only make up a small percentage of rape cases. This actually is not a valid argument because it is not right to ignore a crime even if it is not common.
