Harassment and Discrimination, an ethics and social issue

Directions: Ethics and Social Issues research paper
• Topic: You should select or change your topic based on an initial search for information (and data?) on a topic related to managerial ethics and/or a social issue of interest to you. (An example might be the death penalty as a legal and political issue)

• Research: Footnotes and a bibliography are required in a research paper. As you search our library & or the Internet please take notes including your
Foot note and bibliographic information.

• Footnotes and Bibligraphy: You may use any recognized format for your
bibliography and footnotes. You may wish to use the APA format:
o Footnote: (Author’s last name(s), page number) used after quote “ “ or when summarizing some another person’sideas. Used in the sentence your writing. Example: The “bear is large” (Anzenberger, p. 27).
o Bibliography/Citations/References: On the last page provide the full book or article information necessary for the reader to check out where the information comes from. Example: Anzenberger, Robert. “The Bear Book for Campers.” Big Bear Press (2020). You can check the internet for examples of footnotes and biographical methods. When using internet for sources for your bibliography simply provide the “http:…….” address prior to authors name, book/article, date and publisher info. Check APA, Chicago, etc. methods for one you are most comfortable using.

• Writing the paper: The research paper should be roughly 10 pages with an introduction, the body of your paper and a conclusion.
o In our example of my death penalty research paper I like to have an introduction and conclusion and in the body of the text. I would articulate a brief history of the death penalty, arguments favoring the death penalty, arguments in opposition to the death penalty, and my own views after reviewing literature on the topic. The point of this research paper is to report to the reader what you found out as a result of conducting more of an in depth look a topic of interest where we do not have enough time in class to fully explore your topic.
