Revision Checklist. Following your research proposal, peer workshops, and initial drafts, you need to revise your paper. Note: Revision is not the same thing is editing or proofreading. Revision does not mean looking to eliminate errors. Revision does mean to assess your paper for clarity, argument, holes in your logic, missing information, order of information, readability, etc. A good process of revision will occur over several drafts; probably each time you look at your paper, you’ll be assessing one or two of these areas rather than trying to fix everything at once. Keep this checklist with you and fill it out as you go through each step between the research proposal and the final draft. Document your revision activity as you go along. You will need to submit this document in addition to your final paper; it will account for 10% of your final paper grade.
