Prepare a report on the organization which identifies and addresses the strategic HRM challenges for the organization. Consider your role as that of a consultant to the organization and your case study report will be delivered to the Chief Executive Officer.
Focusing on the organizational and workplace culture:
1. Diagnose the problems/issues and challenges for strategic HRM and the observed or inferred impacts of organizational and workplace culture (positive and negative). To complete the diagnosis, you will draw from the knowledge you have developed through the subject and relevant literature.
2. Using HRM literature, develop and justify recommendations for the organization to address these problems/issues and challenges.
3. Conclude your report with the likely costs and benefits of reforms or changes you recommend.
Include HRM references in justifying your argument.
Case study report format
Executive summary (250 words): a summary of your report including diagnosis of the challenges and your key recommendations.
Introduction: A brief description of the organization and its work force and a description of the operational context for the organization (the sector in which the organization operates; the business, market or physical environment in which the organization operates.
Diagnosis of the key challenges related to organizational and workplace culture, the sources or causes of these challenges and the observed or inferred impacts from the current situation on the performance of the organization, the employees or others. Use the literature and content from the weekly topics to make your diagnosis.
Recommendations for the CEO and executive team to address the challenges and improve workplace and organizational culture, with justification from the literature. Recommend specific HRM reforms and initiatives to improve the situation. This may extend across the areas of HRM including: recruitment and selection procedures; training and development of employees; Remuneration management; performance appraisal and management; Diversity management and work-life balance; workplace or occupational health and safety, etc.
Conclusion: Provide an estimate of the cost and timeline for change, realistic for the organization. Include a statement about the likely impacts/benefits from reforms in terms of productivity/business outcomes (e.g. reduced staff turnover, etc) so to demonstrate return on investment in change.

You can include appendices (not counted in the word limit), however you should remember that material in appendices will not be taken to directly contribute to your argument and are to be regarded as supporting documentation only.
