The Assignment: For this assignment, students must complete a Research Project Portfolio that includes a Research Proposal, an Annotated Bibliography of both primary and secondary sources. All three components must be completed and submitted together as one portfolio. The Research Proposal must included a title of the project, a summary of proposed project, specifications of the project, a description of sources, a table of contents, and a sample bibliography. The Research Proposal must follow the model/format provided by instructor and located in Blackboard. The Annotated Bibliography is a list of primary and secondary sources that have been reviewed and that contains a brief explanation of the thesis, contributions to the field, and evidence intended for use. The Annotated Bibliography must follow the model/format provided by instructor and located in Blackboard The Formal Presentation requires students to create and deliver a 10-minute oral presentation of their research project which will be accompanied by a 20-slide PowerPoint detailing the topic, thesis, findings, methodology, sources, and why that topic was selected. All three components of the Research Project Portfolio must demonstrate factual evidence, correct grammar, and punctuation. All items will undergo a rigorous peer review process. Below is the order of the components.

Due Date: This assignment is worth up to 100 points (33% of your total grade) and is due by the date indicated on the course calendar. I will need a digitized copy of this assignment to be uploaded to Blackboard. (no emails). Anything submitted after that day cannot be accepted.
Grading: Grades for this project will be based on the following criteria: Research Proposal (33.3 points); Annotated Bibliography (33.3 points); and Formal Presentation (33.3 points) for a combined total of 100 points.
