Your audiovisual presentation is a roughly five-minute summary (equivalent to reading about 600-750 words aloud) in which you explain what was most
helpful and interesting about the video. Avoid quoting and try instead to use your own wording to summarize. And be selective. Don’t try to cram every single
thing into your presentation, but do be sure to watch video to the end. The Presentation is not graded for grammar but it is graded for breadth and depth of
understanding. Be sure to end your presentation by asking other class members a question about the video that they can attempt answer–not too hard and
not too easy. Be aware that some videos offer a closed-caption (“CC”) feature for the text or provide written transcriipts of the dialog which makes
understanding even easier. Be sure that the link is operative at the beginning of the semester. Waiting until the night before your presentation is due is a big
mistake. After uploading your audiovisual presentation, you must 1) “Save” it, and then 2) select “Share With Class” or else it will remain invisible to everyone
but you. Uploading will take a couple of minutes on a computer before you can share it; it takes much, much longer by phone.) No written transcriipt of your
report is needed; nor can written report be used in substitution of the audiovisual report….. YOU CAN WRITE IT AS A PAPER AND I WILL JUST READ IT OUT
LOUD.
