Instructions: You are being asked to submit a brief self-reflection essay with the description below. Examples from work-related organizations are preferred, but you may also use other organizational experiences (e.g., school, clubs, sports teams) if necessary.
Describe. Describe a time when you experienced dissatisfaction or lack of commitment in an organization. How did those attitudes affect your performance or other behaviors?
Assess. what factor(s) caused you to feel dissatisfied or uncommitted? What are at least two evidence-based recommendations you would make to help a manager resolve a situation like yours in the future?
Format. Single- or double-spaced and written in any standard typeface (e.g., Calibri, Times New Roman) using a size of 10-12 points
Heading. Include your name, date, and the option you selected on the first page.
Contents. Self-reflections are less formal than other forms of academic writing but should at least include (1) a brief introduction to capture the reader’s attention and summarize the main ideas you plan to discuss, (2) several supporting paragraphs addressing the questions from the writing prompt, and (3) a brief conclusion reminding the reader about the focus of your self-reflection, how you have grown from the experience, and any future directions (if appropriate).
