Patient Bill of Rights
Final Project Assignment
This project will be in place of a standard final exam. You will need to utilize the Patient Bill of Rights as listed on page 7 and 8 of your text. The purpose of this assignment is to assist you in gaining a better understanding of what the Patient Bill of Rights represents.
You will create a presentation by choosing one of the following:
1. Videos you create demonstrating each of the Patient Bill of Right.
You can have friends or family as actors or you can have someone record you interacting with a “patient”. Either way, you can have fun with this! You will have one slide/video for each Patient Right. Be sure to “title” each slide with the “right”. If you are unsure how to do this, please contact the Solution Center asap.
OR
2. Create an interactive teaching tool that the viewer would participate in (not just watch). Again, you can have some fun with this but need to make sure each Patient Right is covered concisely. This must be something in which the viewer participates – it cannot just be a cartoon or something they would watch. It MUST be interactive. Please check with me if you need clarification.
You can either demonstrate/teach the “correct” way to provide a patient with this right or the “wrong” way. Often the wrong way can have a more meaningful (and often more fun) impact on the viewer.
Your presentation should be well thought out, professional, and creative. You will need to address all 11 rights as listed in your text.
Please start this early. With this being the final project, and a large portion of your overall grade, the expectations are high.
Grading Rubric

4. Professional, yet entertaining 5 pts
***Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything at all! Do not wait until it is too late***
